Context

We relate in the Sunans of Abū Dāwūd, an-Nasā’ī and others, with a ṣaḥīḥ isnād from ‘Alī Honorific symbol, that the Messenger of Allah Honorific symbol said, when it was time to go to bed: “O Allah, I seek protection by Your Noble Countenance and by Your Perfect Words from the evil of all those whom You hold by the forelock. O Allah, You Alone remove debt and sin. O Allah, Your army is not defeated and Your promise is never broken. The power of the mighty does not avail him against You. Glory be to You, Allah, and to You belongs all praise.” [21].
