Chapter 275
Remembrance 1 from Chapter 275
Disowning the followers of innovation and sin
Context
WE RELATE IN the Ṣaḥīḥs of al-Bukhārī and Muslim that Abū Burdah ibn Abī Mūsā narrated that Abū Mūsā
was sick and fell unconscious with his head in the lap of one of the women of his family. A woman from his family screamed, and he was not able to respond. When he regained consciousness he said: “I am quit of anybody whom the Messenger of Allah
has disowned. The Messenger of Allah
declared himself quit of those who scream, who shave their heads in adversity, or who tear their clothes in times of distress.” [1].
