Context
We relate in the Sunan of al-Bayhaqī that Ibn ‘Abbās
narrated the hadith about spending the night with his maternal aunt Maymūnah
and the ṣalāh of the Messenger of Allah
at night. [Ibn ‘Abbās] recounted that when he
lifted his head from sujūd he said: “Lord, forgive me, have mercy on me, be charitable to me, elevate me, sustain me and guide me.” [2].
