Al-ḥamdu li-llāhi-lladhī wahaba lanā hādha-l-yawma wa aqālanā fīhi ‘atharātinā.

Context

And we relate that ‘Abdullāh ibn Mas‘ūd Honorific symbol appointed someone to look out for the sunrise for him. When he was informed that the sun had risen he said: “Praise be to Allah, Who has granted us this day and in it has waived our offences.” [2].
