Wa ‘alayka wa ‘alā abīka-s-salām.

Context

We relate in the Sunan of Abū Dāwūd that Ghālib al-Qaṭṭān related that a man said that his father reported that his grandfather said: “My father sent me to the Messenger of Allah Honorific symbol and said: ‘Go to him and convey my greeting.’ I went to him and said: ‘My father sends greetings to you.’ He said: ‘Upon you and upon your father be peace.’” [4].
