Remembrance 1
WE RELATE FROM the Ṣaḥīḥ of Muslim that Jābir Honorific symbol narrated: “The Messenger of Allah Honorific symbol asked me: ‘Have you got married?’ ‘Yes,’ I replied. He asked: ‘To a virgin or a widow?’ I said: ‘I married a widow.’ He asked: ‘Why did you not marry a virgin, so you could play with her and she could play with you?’ (Or: ‘So that you could make her laugh and she could make you laugh?’) I replied: ‘‘Abdullāh, my father, passed away leaving nine (or seven) daughters, and I did not want to bring them [a young woman] like them. I wanted to bring them a woman who would take care of them and improve their affairs.’ He Honorific symbol said: ‘You have done the right thing. . .”’ [1].And he recounted the rest of the hadith.
